David Engelhardt owned Engelhardt Landscaping
David C. Engelhardt of Bradenton, Florida and formerly of Bluffton, Ohio. David was born July 28, 1938 to William and Mary Engelhardt in Indianapolis, Indiana. He joined his Heavenly Father on January 26, 2022. David, a longtime resident of Bluffton, was the owner of Engelhardt Landscaping Inc. and was a member of Bluffton Presbyterian Church. He was a member of Mt. Cory #418 F & A.M. and Rawson # 550 OES. David served the Grand Lodge of Ohio as District Deputy Grandmaster of District 10. David enjoyed gardening, traveling and entertaining friends and family.
David is survived by his son, D.J. (Robin) of Whiteland, Indiana; a grandson William of Louisville, Kentucky and granddaughter Megan of Whiteland, Indiana. He is also survived by his companion of 7 years, Donna Thomas of Bradenton, Florida; four nieces, Mary, Martha, Catie and Robin; seven nephews, Mark, Jim, David, James, Gary, Ned and Zeb and several great-nephews and nieces.
David was preceded in passing by his parents, William and Mary Engelhardt; two sisters, Anna Lapunka and Maxine Bedell, his wife, Myrna Engelhardt and his daughter Beth.
A Masonic Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. A memorial service will follow the Masonic service. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bluffton Presbyterian Church or the American Alzheimer’s Association.
