Amy Jebsen named a BHS student of the month
Junior Amy Jebsen was named Bluffton High School student of the month for January 2022. She holds a 4.000 GPA.
Amy is the daughter of Chris and Sarah Jebsen of Bluffton. Amy is involved in many activities and clubs including: Student Senate, National Honor Society, Spanish Club, Math Club, Symphonic, Chamber and Show Choirs .
She is a member of the Lima Community Church and is in the worship band, choir, youth group and bible quiz team.
Amy has been a Varsity football cheerleader for three years and for two years as a Varsity basketball cheerleader. She was student of the year in World History and English her freshman year; and student of the year in American History, Personal Wellness, Spanish 2 and Accelerated Algebra II her sophomore year. She is a 5-time Gold scholar Athlete award winner.
Her Bible quiz team has been ranked top 5 in the district, ranked top 10 in the region, participated on the National team and received multiple scholarships to Nazarene Universities at various tournaments.
Amy has worked at Suter's Produce for three years, taught piano for a year and currently works at Shirley's Popcorn and the Shannon Theatre. In her spare time she likes to play the piano and has performed three solos at Solo & Ensemble competitions in class A. She enjoys singing, calligraphy (selling custom lettering) and enjoying time with family and friends.
She currently takes Psychology, American Gov't and Politics Today, Sociology and Literature Appreciation at the University of Findlay as part of the CCP program. After she graduates she would like to attend college and study Psychology and/or Worship Ministry.
