Grace Cramer was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church
Grace I. Cramer, 85, a long time resident of Bluffton, passed away on Monday March 7, 2022 at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center of Lima with her family by her side.
Grace was born March 14, 1936 in Bucyrus to the late Ora and Ione (Ebert) Wilson. She was married September 22, 1956 to Carroll J. Cramer who preceded her in death on May 21, 2008.
Grace is survived by three sons, David Cramer, of Marblehead, OH, John (Lorin) Cramer of Houston, TX, and James Cramer, of Rockbridge, OH; two daughters, Susan Cramer, of Bluffton, and Melanie. (Robert) Woodruff, of Columbus OH; grandchildren Amanda Cramer of Austin, TX, Jonathon Cramer of Berkley, CA, and Catherine Cramer of Houston, TX, and sister Velma Jean (Max-deceased) Kissling of Bucyrus, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Deceased family are a brother James (Katie-deceased) Wilson, sisters Margaret (Clifford deceased) Lutz; Florence (Williard-deceased) Swisher; and a niece Nancy Lutz.
Grace graduated from Mt. Zion H.S. in 1954 and participated in many school activities. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Bluffton and president of St. Mary’s Rosary Society .She was a former president and an active member of the Bluffton High School Music Boosters. She was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, and playing piano and organ. She loved animals and visiting Lake Erie.
Grace was a homemaker and beloved mother. Later in her life, she was employed by Ohio Power, Swan Rubber, McDonald’s and Meijer.
A memorial service will be held at the Chiles-Laman Funeral Home of Bluffton on Friday at 6:00 p.m. with William Herr officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. A burial will take place at a date that is to be determined.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to St. Rita’s Medical Center for their care, compassion, and sympathy during such a difficult time.
