Betty Moser was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ
Betty A. Moser, 91, passed away March 26, 2022, at 8:15 p.m., at Mennonite Memorial Home.
Betty was born May 19, 1930 in Allen County, to Hiram and Gladys "Irene" (Doty) Spallinger who preceded her in death. On September 6, 1947 she married Harvey Moser Jr. who preceded her in death on April 27, 2001.
Betty was a lifetime member of St. John's United Church of Christ and a longtime board member and volunteer for the Bluffton Senior Citizens. She was known for being a talented seamstress, an amazing cook, and an avid polka dancer. She enjoyed tending to her garden and spending time with her family. Above all, she was always supportive of her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children; Roger Moser of Columbus Grove and Joyce Moser, of Lake Placid, FL; a daughter in law, Janelle Moser of Reynoldsburg; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, David (Marilyn) Spallinger of Bluffton, and Wanda Spallinger of TX.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Betty was preceded in death by: her special friend, Ron Zimmerly; two sons, Ron Moser and Don Moser; siblings, Harold Spallinger and Doris Turner; and a great-grandson, Jaeden Ward.
Services will be held at St. John's United Church of Christ at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 2, 2022 with Rev. Jeremy Mann to officiate the service. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ or the Bluffton Senior Citizens.
