Pirate baseball eliminated by Parkway

The Bluffton High School baseball team lost 7-3 to visiting Parkway in Div. III sectional semifinal play Thursday, May 19.
The 12th-seeded Pirates fell to 3-18 with the loss, while 13th seed Parkway improved to 3-19 after the win.
The Panthers advance to the sectional finals Friday, May 20 at top seed Pemberville Eastwood.
The district finals will be held at Elida May 26/28.
Bluffton lost its NWC finale at local rival Allen East 11-1 last weekend. AE scored eight runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to bresk open a close 3-1 game.
Pirate Braeden Jordan stroked two of the six Bluffton hits. Quinn Eachus doubled and scored the lone Pirate run in the second frame on an RBI hit by Landon Worcester that gave the visitors a brief 1-0 lead.
Jacob Granger and Garret Bogart added the other Pirate hits.
