Ohio's Urban Legends & Mythical Creatures program at BPL
On June 6, Bluffton Public Library will host Ohio's Urban Legends & Mythical Creatures a program by Kevin Moore, Curator of Artifacts Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library & Museums.
Does Bigfoot roam Salt Fork State Park? Is the Ohio River home to a flying black creature whose sightings serve as an omen of impending disaster? Did several Ohio police departments chase a UFO on an 85-mile pursuit into Pennsylvania?
Kevin Moore, Curator of Artifacts from the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library & Museums in Fremont, Ohio, will speak at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 6 about some of our state’s folklore related to monsters, ghosts and other paranormal beings, the sociology behind belief in the supernatural and how these urban legends have been adopted by popular culture.
Please register for this program in advance by stopping at the library front desk, or by calling 419-358-5016 during regular library hours. Space is limited.
The program geared for ages 6th grade and up, and is open to adults, teens, and children accompanied by a parent or guardian.
