Robert David Armstrong funeral arrangements
Robert David Armstrong, 80, passed away June 4, 2022 at his residence. Dave was born April 16, 1942 in Lima to the late Robert and Mary (Cunningham) Armstrong. On February 1, 1963 he married Margaret Houchins Armstrong who preceded him in death on May 27, 2010.
Dave was a graduate of Indian Lake High School and retired from Lima Ford Engine Plant. He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, Lima. Dave enjoyed working on cars, boating, photography and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include three children, Kim (Randy) Matter of Bluffton, Kevin (Kelly) Armstrong of Bellefontaine, Keith (Candy) Armstrong of Wapakoneta; seven grandchildren, Wyatt Matter, Sara Matter, Zachary Armstrong, Brittany (Ken) Keilor, Tyler (Mary) Armstrong, Collin Armstrong, Megan Armstrong; three great-grandchildren, Kallie and Kenzlee Keilor, Chloe Armstrong and two sisters, Pam Parmer of Bellefontaine and Chris Reedy of Michigan.
Dave was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Armstrong.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 9, 2022 at St. Rose Catholic Church, Lima with Father David Ross officiating. Burial will be in the Gethsemani Cemetery Mausoleum following the service. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
