Library is a cool place to hang out, charge up
With temperatures racing towards 90 degrees before noon on June 15, the Bluffton Public Library is reminding the public that it's--literally (really literally)--a cool place to hang out.
The library has air conditioning, comfortable seating, free WiFi, public computers, board games and power strips for charging devices.
The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning for the area, which remains in effect until midnight.
The statement warns of dangerously hot and humid conditions with afternoon and evening heat index values 100 to 110. Extreme heat and humidity will significantly increase the potential for heat related illnesses, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities.
An overnight low of 80 degrees is forecast.
