Obituary for Janet Blank
Janet Blank, 79, of Bluffton, OH went home to be with the Lord on Saturday evening, August 6, 2022 at home with family by her side.
Janet was born April 6, 1943 to Jesse and Lillian (Kennel) Yoakam, who preceded her in death. On June 16, 1962 she married David M. Blank, who survives in Bluffton.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry (Rachel) Yoakam.
Survivors include a brother, Roger (Shirley) Yoakam of Pickerington, OH; a son, Randall (Kaylene) Blank of Ottawa; a grandson Levi Blank of Pandora, and a granddaughter Michaela Blank of Columbus.
Janet graduated from Bluffton High School and was an active member of St. John Mennonite Church in Pandora. She worked at Bluffton College/University to help both her husband and son through graduation. Her sweet disposition and kindness let her make friends wherever she was employed; from daycare in Louisiana, to real estate in Georgia, to senior care at Maple Crest in Bluffton. She enjoyed an occasional trip was mostly happy to stay at home with family. She was a pet lover her entire life and always had dogs and cats around her. She was affectionately known by her family and friends as the "crazy cat lady" -- a label she enjoyed.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday August 13, 2022 at St. John Mennonite Church of Pandora. .
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ohio SPCA or Deb's Dogs.
