A Perseid meteor shower viewing opportunity will be hosted at 9:00 p.m. on August 12 at Kendrick Woods park, 971 N. Defiance Trail, Spencerville, with members of the Lima Astronomical Society providing assistance and information.

The Perseid Meteor Shower viewing is weather dependent.

Check the Lima Astronomical Society Facebook page for updates. The society notes, "if weather hampers the meteor shower just remember you can see the Perseid Meteor Shower for the next two weeks but in lesser amounts. Just pick a clear night."
