Pirate linksters win NWC meet

On September 1, the Bluffton High School boys golf team won a four-team Northwest Conference match at Moose Landing Country Club in Ottawa.
The Pirates nosed out Columbus Grove by four strokes, 177-181. Bluffton also defeated Allen East (177-190) and Spencerville (177-203).
Levi Clum of AE was match medalist with a score of 39.
Bluffton improved to 9-3 overall, and they stand third in the NWC at
6-2 after the wins.
Grove is now 5-7 (5-5 NWC), while AE is 4-5 (3-5 NWC). Spencerville
dropped to 2-5 overall and 2-5 in league play with the results.
The Pirates play local league foe Ada (1-13, 0-10 NWC) at the Bluffton
Golf Course Tuesday, September 6.
