Bluffton boys double up Bearcats soccer

The Bluffton High School boys soccer squad beat visiting Spencerville 4-2 in the resumption of a suspended Northwest Conference match Saturday afternoon, September 10.
The Pirates led 1-0 when it was originally stopped by lightning August 29. Nolan Hoffman scored two goals to pace the victors.
Pirates Nick Lovett and Ethan Oglesbee netted one goal apiece. Kyle Basil came up with four saves in goal.
The Pirate record improved to 2-4-1 overall and 1-0 in the NWC with their 35th straight league win. The Bearcats fell to 2-1-1 and 1-1 in the NWC following the loss.
Bluffton hosts Van Buren (2-1-2) Tuesday, September 13. The Pirates entertain undefeated Kenton (5-0-1) Thursday, Sept. 15 in another non-league home game.
