Ronald Earl Brauneller worked at Triplett Corp.
Ronald Earl Brauneller, 84, of Rawson passed away Friday, September 9, 2022 at Promedica Toledo Hospital following a short illness but not Covid. Ron was born on March 18, 1938 to Samuel and Rhoda (Marquart) Brauneller at Bluffton Hospital in Bluffton, Ohio.
Ron attended Arlington Local School and then served his country in the United States Army in the Tank Armor Division entering in as Elvis left the building. In 1963, he started his career at Triplett Corporation, Bluffton as a tool and die machinist for 43 years until they no longer needed his service.
Ron married Charlotte (Howell) Brauneller on July 1, 1964 and she survives. He is also survived by daughters, Robin (Douglas) Culver of Findlay and Penny (Allen) Gary of Rawson; a grandson, Anthony Culver; four granddaughters, Amanda Conley, Ashley Howard, Meagan Hammer and Rachel Tagoe. He was a very proud great-grandfather to twelve beautiful great-grandchildren and one on the way. Ron is also survived by three sisters, Diane Malz of Kentucky, Mary Brown of Rawson and Karen Hartman of Findlay.
Ron was known for his quick wit and sense of humor, love for his family and his cat, Lucy. He took pride in his yard work and mowed with a push mower until the age of 83 years young. Ron was also a member of the Black Swamp Muzzleloader Club in the '70s and every Sunday was a family get-together racing go-carts, mini bikes or a sing along on the front porch. He was our knight in shining armor during the “Blizzard of 78” and taught us all how important family is.
Ron was preceded in death by both of his parents; a sister, Wilma Kinn and a niece, Rose (Dave) Devore.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. Pastors Mike Noggle and Wade Melton officiating. Burial will be in Clymer Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Rifle Association or the Hancock County Humane Society.
