Dwayne Thomas Chiles obituary
Dwayne Thomas Chiles, age 53, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022
Dwayne was born March 3, 1969 in Lima, OH, to the late Thomas Dwayne and Sierra Sue (Kohli) Chiles. On May 19, 1991 he married his best friend, Sara Jane (Lanker) Chiles.
Dwayne was a 1988 graduate of Bath High School and attended Apollo Career Center, having received a degree in Law enforcement. He was employed as a manager for Lazer Spot. Dwayne had also served as an EMT with the Elida and Bath Fire Departments and previously served on the Fort Shawnee Police Department. He was a proud husband and father who loved spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Sara Jane Chiles of Bluffton; 5 children, Ashley Marie Fetter of Lima, Zachary Vinson (Morgan Emily) Chiles of Lima, Nathanial Adam Chiles of Lima, Jillian Christine Chiles of Bluffton and Nicholas Dwayne Chiles of Bluffton; 2 grandchildren on the way; his beloved grand- puppies, Penelope and Rosie; brother, Byron "Barney" (Beth) Chiles of Lima and sister, Leola "Sis" Lanker of Lima.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Open Door Baptist Church, 1812 University Blvd, Lima, Ohio 45805.
Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. Friday, October 7, 2022, at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Eastside Chapel. Pastor William Turner will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Rockport Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Friday, October 7, prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
