BHS volleyball seeded ninth in rugged sectional

The Bluffton High School volleyball team was seeded ninth in the tough 12-team Div. III Kalida district drawing Sunday, October 9.
The Pirate girls (13-7) will play at eighth seed Van Buren (15-3) in the sectional first round at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, October 17.
The winner will then face fourth seed Ottawa-Glandorf (11-9) at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 19 in the sectional finals.
The victor there will advance to the district semifinals at Kalida Oct. 24. If form holds, that winner would meet top seed Coldwater (16-4) in the district semis.
After Coldwater is seeded first, fellow MAC powers Parkway (15-4) are second and St. Henry third (14-5).
Sixth seed Allen East hosts 10th seed Paulding Oct. 17. The winner plays St. Henry Oct. 19 in the sectional finals.
The district finals are at 6:00 p.m. on Oct 26.
