McGinn and Gladieux named All-HCAC
Two players on the Bluffton University women's soccer team have earned All-Heartland Conference honors following the 2022 season. Senior Nina McGinn (Marion/Harding) and freshman Kelsie Gladieux (Northwood/Lake) were selected Honorable Mention All-HCAC after leading the Beavers to their second HCAC tournament berth in school history.
McGinn collected her second straight conference honor while finding the back of the next six times this season. She earned HCAC Offensive Player of the Week following her three-goal performance at Grace Christian on September 9. It was Buffton's first hat trick since 2015! McGinn led the Beavers with six tallies, five assists, 17 points, 54 shots and 27 shots on goal.
For her career, McGinn is tied for 18th all-time with 10 goals. She played in 61 matches with 50 starts and McGinn logged over 3,300 minutes on the field.
Gladieux had an outstanding freshman campaign for the Beavers. She drilled five goals on just 16 total shots with 15 starts and 17 matches played. Gladieux was on the field for over 1,200 minutes in 2022.
Bluffton notched its second Heartland Conference tournament berth in school history and first since 2011 following a 4-0 drubbing of Manchester in the regular-season finale. It also marked the most conference victories for the Beavers since they went 5-3-1 in 2011. Senior Taylor Dye (Big Prairie/West Holmes) was recognized on the HCAC All-Tournament Team for her work in Bluffton's quarter-final match at Anderson.
