Larry Dudgeon served in the U.S. Army
Larry Dudgeon, 88, passed away November 17, 2022 in Sebring, Florida. Larry was born June 13, 1934 in Bluffton to the late Melvin and Beulah (Rice) Dudgeon. On March 6, 1970 he married Annetta (Habegger) Dudgeon who preceded him in death on December 20, 2015.
Larry was a 1952 graduate of Ada High School and then served in the U.S. Army from 1956-1958 during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Lima Ford Engine Plant in June of 2001 and was also a mechanic working on vehicles his entire life. Larry was a member of Pleasant View United Methodist Church, Bluffton. He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed shooting, especially trapshooting, and loved anything to do with cars. Larry loved wintering in Sebring, Florida where he was privileged to work at the "12 Hours of Sebring." He was honored to be a part of the Flag City Honor Flight in June of 2022.
Survivors include two sons, Scott Dudgeon and Corey (Ryan) Dudgeon both of Bluffton; three grandchildren, Caleb, Cierra and Alivia Dudgeon; three sisters, Margaret Bible of East Liberty, Ohio, Carol Jean Howard of Lima, Barbara Barnett of Bluffton; two brothers, Paul (Bonnie) Dudgeon and Mike Dudgeon both of Ada; a sister-in-law, Jo Dudgeon of Washington and a special friend, Mary Goldsberry of Galveston, Indiana.
Larry was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest Dudgeon and Harold Dudgeon.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Flag City Honor Flight, P.O. Box 885, Findlay, OH 45839.
