Dortha E. Radabaugh was a stay at home mom
Dortha E. Radabaugh, 88, passed away December 29, 2022, at the Mennonite Memorial Home of Bluffton.
Dortha was born February 1, 1934, to James and Fannie (Conine) Crawfis who preceded her in death. On December 13, 1954 she married N. Reed Radabaugh who preceded her in death on April 30, 2004.
Dortha spent many years as a stay at home mom. She taught her children the value of hard work around the farm and the joy of play as they swam in the pond or played games on a snow day. Dortha kept her family connected by starting a Cousins Campout in 1996 at the family farm that is ongoing with a date already set for the 2023 Campout.
Dortha was a 1952 graduate of Leipsic High School. She operated the Country Coup Ceramic Shop and worked as a secretary for many years at the Pleasant View United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Bluffton Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her children, Joel (Jane) Radabaugh of Findlay, Diane Wenger of Middlebury, IN, Brett (Michele) Radabaugh of Powell, OH, Todd Radabaugh of Findlay, and Ryan (Linda) Radabaugh of Findlay; fifteen grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Charles I. Crawfis of Gilboa.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Amstutz and Elizabeth Pingle.
Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on January 7, 2023 at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Service-Bluffton with Dave Good to officiate the service. Burial will be in Clymer Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bluffton Presbyterian Church or the Bluffton Senior Center.
