Services during Lent at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church
Ash Wednesday will be observed on February 22 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 301 North Main Street, Jenera. The service, led by Pastor Matt Nowak, will be based on John 11 under the theme: "His final steps led to a tomb." The students of Trinity School will sing "Glory Be to Jesus." Hymns by the congregation include: "As Surely as I Live, God Said;" "Be Still, My Soul;" and "I Lay My Sins on Jesus."
There will be a special evening service beginning at 7:00 p.m. on each of the six Wednesdays in Lent under the theme: "His Final Steps," pondering the significance of the people and places that Jesus visited on his last journey to Jerusalem and to the cross at Calvary.
A free chicken alfredo supper will be served by the students of Grades 7-8 and their parents beginning at 5:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend the supper and the church service. The church is handicapped accessible and the services are live streamed and archived at www.tlsjenera.org/
