Norman named HCAC Pitcher of the Week
Senior Erin Norman (Pleasant Hill/Newton) has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week.
Norman opened the season with a victory on Sunday, March 5, going all seven innings for the Beavers while tossing a four-hit shutout and allowing no walks in her senior debut as Bluffton downed Sage 2-0 in one hour and five minutes on Sunday afternoon. Norman finished with three strikeouts.
The standout hurler followed that performance up with victory number two on Monday when she again went all seven innings in the circle, moving her mark to 2-0 while allowing only two scores with just one free pass.
The Beavers look to keep their hot streak rolling and improve on their 3-1 record when they face St. Vincent and Allegheny, both from Pennsylvania, on Tuesday, March 7 in The Spring Games from Florida. Game one is slated for 9 a.m.
