Jane E. Funk worked for Chase Bank
Jane E. Funk, 79, passed away March 29, 2023 at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. Jane was born January 9, 1944 in Allen County, Ohio to the late Donald and Thelma (Myers) O'Neil. On July 12, 1964 she married Glen Funk who preceded her in death on July 29, 2009.
Jane graduated from Lima Senior High School and retired from Chase Bank, Lima where she was a customer representative. She was a member of South Side Christian Church, Lima. Jane enjoyed sewing, needlework, spending time boating at Indian Lake, wintering in Palm Harbor, Florida, flower gardening but most of all hosting family Christmases and spending time with her family. She had a great love and bond with her dog, Molly.
Survivors include two daughters, Kim (Jeff) Swank of Lakeview, Cindy (Kerry) Hughes of Belle Center; four grandchildren, Travis (Kayla) Swank of Bluffton, Ashley (Dan) Stratton of Bluffton, Kyle (Lauren Clifford) Swank of Bluffton, Kevin Hughes of Columbus; four great-grandchildren, Jessa Swank, Kenna Swank, Mara Swank, Charlie Stratton and a brother, Dan (Jan) O'Neil of Lima.
Jane was also preceded in death by her brother, Donald "Ed" O'Neil.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 3, 2023 at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton with Pastor Todd Cosart officiating. Burial will be in Salem Westminster Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be Sunday, April 2, 2023 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to South Side Christian Church or the American Diabetes Association.
