Easter services at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church
Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 301 North Main Street, Jenera, will have two services on Sunday, April 9. The Easter Dawn service will begin at 6:30 a.m. under the theme: He Lives to Dry Tears and Calm Fears.
The Bible readings are Isaiah 12, 1 Corinthians 5:6-8, and John 20:1-18. The sermon text is John 20:11-18. The Choir will sing "We Will Carol Joyfully" and hymns by the congregation are "The Day of Resurrection; Awake, My Heart with Gladness; I Know that My Redeemer Lives; and Christ is Arisen"
A free Easter Breakfast of eggs, pancakes, sausage, fruit, pastries and beverages will be served after the Easter Dawn service and end before the Easter Festival service.
The Easter Festival service will begin at 9:30 a.m. The theme: He Lives to Take Me from Death to Life. The readings are Jonah 2:2-9, 1 Corinthains 5:1-11, Matthew 28:1-10. The sermon text is John 20:11-18. "We Will Carol Joyfully" will be sung by the Choir and congregational hymns are: "Jesus Christ is Risen Today! Alleluia!, The Strife is O'er, the Battle Done; I Know that My Redeemer Lives; and Crown Him with Many Crowns"
Everyone is welcome to attend the services and the breakfast. The church is handicapped accessible and the services are live streamed and archived at tlcjenera.org.
