Dwight D. Baumgartner was a machinist at Ex-Cello Corp.

Dwight D. Baumgartner, 95, passed away April 5, 2023 at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. Dwight was born July 16, 1927 in Pandora to the late Elmer and Emma "Viola" (Vermillion) Baumgartner. On June 21, 1947, he married Irene Suter Baumgartner who survives.
Dwight was a graduate of Pandora High School and was a veteran serving in the United States Army - 9th Infantry - 2nd Division. He was a machinist at Ex-Cello Corporation, Bluffton.
Dwight was a life-long member of Grace Mennonite Church, Pandora, was a member of the Bluffton Lions Club where he had served as president, and was a member of the Pandora American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and the Cincinnati Reds. Dwight and his wife enjoyed wintering at Corpus Christi, Texas-North Padre Island.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Baumgartner of Bluffton; three children, Stephen (Sue) Baumgartner of York, Pennsylvania, Fran (Bill) Holtgreven of New Braunfels, Texas, Rebecca Kinkle of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren, Heather (Kevin) Litwhiler, Brian (Heather) Baumgartner, Amy (John) Ring, Justin (Naomi) Kinkle; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Edward Baumgartner of Mansfield; a sister, Mary Hochstettler of Lima and a sister-in-law, Marlene Baumgartner of Bluffton.
Dwight was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Gregory Kinkle; a brother, James Baumgartner; and two sisters, Delores Herman and Katherine Herman.
A combined memorial service for Irene and Dwight will be held Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Mennonite Church in Pandora with Pastor Matthew Yoder to officiate the service. A private burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, October 14, 2023, 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the church.
