Delmer C. Nuzum Sr. worked at Lima Ford Engine Plant
Delmer C. Nuzum Sr., 87, passed away April 9, 2023 at Lost Creek Care Center, Lima. Delmer was born April 15, 1935 in Leroy, West Virginia to the late Olin and Anna (Wilkinson) Nuzum. On June 23, 1956 he married Nina Fruth Nuzum who preceded him in death on February 25, 2014.
Delmer graduated from Gilmore School in Sandyville, West Virginia. He retired as a cutter grinder from the Lima Ford Engine Plant. Delmer enjoyed searching for arrowheads, fishing and hunting. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include three sons, Delmer (Tammy) Nuzum, Jr. of Columbus Grove, Michael (Teresa) Nuzum of Bluffton, Roger (Jaime) Nuzum of Bluffton; seven grandchildren, Amber (Mike) Doty, Jeremy (Cecilia) Nuzum, Matthew Nuzum, Steven Nuzum, Danielle (Daniel) Hodges, Tyrel (Natasha) Nuzum, Hunter Nuzum; eleven great-grandchildren; a brother, Conrad (Judy) Nuzum of Bluffton and three sisters, Delores (Daryl) Bushong of Mt. Blanchard, Violet Hupp of Bloomdale, Ohio and Alfreda Fellwock of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.
Delmer was preceded in death by his wife, Nina Nuzum; a daughter, Barbara Sue Nuzum and his brother, Olin Nuzum, Jr.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton with Kevin Hupp officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bluffton following the service. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
