Pirate softball shut out by Wildcats

The visiting Bluffton High School softball team lost to Miller City 5-0 in a non-conference contest Friday evening, April 14.
The Wildcat girls improved to 6-3 with the victory. Bluffton fell to 5-7 with the defeat.
Lauren Bassett hit two singles to pace the Pirates.
Ashley Fleece and Karliegh Davis hit singles for Bluffton.
DeMuth and Reiman each doubled for the Wildcats.
MC out-hit Bluffton, 5-4. The Wildcats scored two runs in each of the second and fourth frames. MC added one more run in the fifth.
Losing pitcher Davis struck out 11 Wildcats and walked just one. She allowed one earned run on five hits.
