Beaver women's golf recap April 28
KIEFFERVILLE, Ohio - The Bluffton University women's golf team battled rainy conditions during round one of the 2023 Heartland Conference Championships on Friday, April 28, 2023. Bluffton was up and down on its way to finishing day one firmly in 5th place with an 18-hole score of 362 on Friday.
Kiley Cline (Fostoria/Hopewell Louden) made a late charge and is tied with fellow sophomore Allie Waggener (Hilliard/Hilliard Bradley) in 14th place on the championship leaderboard with identical scores of 88 on the opening day. Senior Haley Gill (Indianapolis, IN/Franklin Central) is just one shot back after shooting an 89. Freshman Sara Kroeger (Cincinnati/Mount Notre Dame) chipped in with a 97, while Shelby Stammen (Fort Recovery) finished with a 98.
Weather conditions should be better on Saturday, April 29, when the Beavers tee it up for round two of the HCAC Championships at the Moose Landing Country Club just outside of Kiefferville.
