Dennis B. Hirsch worked for Ford Motor Company
Dennis B. Hirsch, age 82, of Cairo passed away peacefully at 7:55 p.m., on Wednesday, May 3, surrounded by his family. He was born July 1, 1940 in Lima to the late Bernard V. and Rosemary (Casey) Hirsch.
He married Molly Elaine Clark Nov. 17, 1961 and she preceded him in death Aug. 15, 2012.
Dennis graduated from LCC in 1958. He had worked at Ford Motor Company
for 35 plus years. He loved sports and ran the Cairo recreation for years. He loved being outside and enjoying the sun. Dennis was known for driving his golf cart around town. He also enjoyed being Pa-Pa and supporting his grandchildren and great grandchildren in their events.
Survivors include 3 daughters: Christine Miller of Elida, Kelly Maag of Cairo and Angela (Keith) Stoll of Bluffton; a son-in-law David Miller of Lima; 4 grandchildren: Justin Miller, Adam (April) Miller, Alyssa Maag and Taylor Brodman; 3 great grandchildren: Jaden, Lillian and Adalynn Rose Miller and one is on the way; 7 siblings: Karen (Jay) Ganz of Arizona, Marcy Dawson, Judy Smith, Gwen Stemen, Norene Fassel, Becky (Donnie) O'Connor all of Lima and Kevin Hirsch of Russells Point and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother Mike Hirsch and brother-in-laws: Ron Dawson, Gary Smith, and Fred Fassel.
The family wishes to thank All American Home Care and Interim Health Care for all their care and support.
The family will have a celebration of life Sunday, June 4th from 2-5 at 926 Wentz Road Elida. All are welcome to come and share some stories.
