Rita Jane Benroth was a homemaker
Rita Jane Benroth, 65, passed away May 19, 2023 at her residence. Jane was born September 19, 1957 in Fostoria to Harry F.and Margaret M. (Ostrander) Swartz. On July 13, 1990 she married Scott Benroth who preceded her in death on May 21, 2020.
Jane graduated from Arcadia High School in 1975. She was a loving mother and homemaker with a big heart that would do anything or give anything to someone who needed it. Jane was glad to have experienced all the jobs she had especially when she was driving limousine. She loved gardening, baking, celebrations, cats and especially spending time with her family.
Survivors include her father, Harry F. Swartz of Fostoria; four children, Heather (Jeremy) Jarrell of Findlay, Ricky (Jessica Davis) Brown of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Trina Brown of Findlay, Felicia Bliss of Bluffton; twelve grandchildren, Alexander, Wesley, Ashton, Wylee, Alex, Brynn, Lana, Austin, Owen, Jasmine, Samantha and Rylan; four great-grandchildren, Oliver, Isla, Bella and Scarlet; a brother, Bill Swartz of Fostoria; and four sisters, Diana (Mike) Mock of Findlay, Luci (Larry) Runion of Fostoria, Laura Swartz of Bluffton and Ginny (Gary) Shinew of Cygnet.
Jane was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Swartz; a brother, Sonny Swartz; a sister, Jacquie Newman and a brother-in-law, Bill Newman.
Jane's services will begin at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton with Pastor Jerry Kellogg officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
