The Allen County Board of Elections and Hancock County Board of Elections are providing petition packets for candidates for school board seats, township fiscal officer, township trustee and village offices in the November 7, 2023 general election.

The deadline to file petitions with the board of elections is 4:00 p.m. on August 9, 2023.

The deadline for local questions and issues is also August 9.

Local officials to be elected in the November 7, 2023 general election, all serving 4 year terms, are:

• Bluffton mayor 
• Two Bluffton council seats
• Two Bluffton Exempted Village School District board seats 
• Richland Township fiscal officer 
• One Richland Township trustee
• One Orange Township trustee

The deadline for write-in candidates in the General Election is August 28, 2023 (72 days before the General Election).
