Pirate girls tennis posts 1st win
Bluffton will host Tiffin Calvert on Monday, August 14 at 4:30 p.m.

The Bluffton High School girls tennis team defeated Kenton 4-1 to earn its first win of the season Thursday afternoon, August 10.
The Pirate netters improved to 1-2 on the season with the convincing win.
Brooke Camper did not drop a single game in winning at first singles. Brooklyn Moser also posted a double-bagel triumph at third singles.
Pirate duo Leah Klinger and Hannah Nieman rolled to a straight-set victory at first doubles.
The Bluffton tandem of Genevieve Gatchel and Ava McCamery also cruised to a double-bagel victory at second doubles.
The lone Pirate defeat came at second singles in a close three-setter decided by a 10-point tie-breaker.

Lilly Carmean (K) defeated Rory Youngpeter (B)
6-3, 2-6, 10-1 points tie-break third set

Sara Horner and Mia Vermillion (K)
6-2, 6-1
Genevieve Gatchel and Ava McCamery (B) defeated
McKenna Stanforth and Katie Lowe (K)
6-0, 6-0
Bluffton is back in action when they host Tiffin Calvert Monday, August 14 at 4:30 p.m. Defiance then visits the Pirates August 15.
