Pirate volleyball grounds Rockets
The Bluffton High School volleyball team swept local rival Pandora-Gilboa Thursday evening, Agust 24.
Bluffton took down the Rockets in straight sets by a 25-21, 25-15, 25-18 count.
The Pirate girls improved to 2-1 after the non-league victory.
Karlie Lora led the Pirates with 13 kills and two blocks. Ayla Grandey contributed nine kills, while Kendall Stackhouse knocked down eight.
Morgan Fruchey dealt three aces. Vanessa Cross and Ayla Grandey each dealt a pair of aces.
Gracie Yarnell passed out 20 assists, while Olivia Hobensack dished out 10 helpers.
Avery Talavinia hustled up 14 digs, and Yarnell mustered 12 digs.
Cross and Fruchey each came up with 11 digs.
The Bluffton JV also won 2-0.
Bluffton plays in a tri-match at Miller City with Riverdale Saturday.
