Thomas M. Craig was a U.S. Air Force veteran
Thomas "Thom" M. Craig, 74, passed away August 26, 2023, at Mennonite Memorial Home.
Thomas was born June 8, 1949 in Lima to Paul and Helen (Corderman) Craig who preceded him in death. On June 20, 1970 he married Cheryl (Craven) Craig who survives.
Thom was a 1967 graduate of Bluffton High School. He was a member of the Lima Baptist Temple. He retired from Proctor and Gamble and was a life-long farmer. He was a proud Air Force veteran, serving in South Korea. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion, the Buckeye Baptist Builders and the Allen County Farm Bureau. He enjoyed farming, being outside and building. He was proud that he built every building on their farm. He had a huge heart and was always giving to someone in need. He was extremely proud of his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Craig of Bluffton; four children, Pam Bell of Canton, MI, Angie (Mitch) Vitale of Fort Myers, FL, Ian Craig of Bluffton, and Erin Flores of Louisville, KY; five grandchildren, Colin Bell, Kendra Bell, Isabella Vitale, Teagan Vitale, and Eden Flores; one sister, Donna (Lonnie) Warren of Bluffton; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Lorna Goodman.
Services will be held Thursday, August 31, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services - Bluffton with Pastor Steve Renfrow to officiate the service. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 30, 2023, 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to The PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy) & CBD Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice.
