Pirate boys soccer scoreless vs. Eagles

Visiting Liberty-Benton shut out the Bluffton High School boys soccer team 5-0 Saturday evening September 9, at Steinmetz Field.
Bluffton fell to 2-4-1 with the defeat, while L-B improved to 3-4-1 after the win.
Garrett Nealis poured in four goals for the Eagles, with Brice Fox netting the other score.
Bluffton put three of its 10 shots on goal. L-B peppered 16 of its 33 shots on target at the Pirate keepers.
Bluffton’s Truett Diller made 10 saves, while Ethan Nickel was credited with two stops. The Eagle keeper made two saves.
The Pirates play at non-league foe Botkins (3-1-1) Tuesday, September 12 at 7 p.m.
