Pirate girls tennis edged by Archbold

The Bluffton girls tennis team lost a close 3-2 match at Archbold Saturday.
The team fell to 3-6 with the tough defeat.
Senior Brooke Camper won at first singles 6-0, 6-2 over Meghan Taylor to provide the lone Pirate singles victory.
The second doubles team of juniors Genevieve Gatchel and Ava McCamery pulled out a tight match at second doubles 7-5, 7-6 (7-5).
Pirate juniors Rory Youngpeter and Brooklyn Moser each lost close three-set matches at second and third singles, respectively.
Youngpeter rolled to win her first set 6-1, but then lost two close sets by identical 6-4, 6-4 scores.
Moser also won her opening set 7-5, but then fell 6-1, 6-0.
The Pirate match at Bath was rained out Wednesday.
