Pirate girls soccer seeded 2nd

The Bluffton High School girls soccer team received the second seed in the nine-team Div. III sectional drawing Sunday, October 8.
Northwest Conference champion Bluffton (9-5-2) is seeded one spot ahead of runner-up and local rival Allen East (13-3) in third.
The Pirates host eighth seed Mansfield Christian Thursday, Oct. 19 at 5 p.m., while AE hosts sixth seed Upper Sandusky the same night.
If both win, the NWC rivals would meet in the district semis Oct. 24 in Bluffton at 7:15 p.m. The Pirates won the first meeting over AE by a 3-2 count on September 19.
The district semifinals and finals are in Bluffton Oct. 24/26.
Ada (6-5-3) will host seventh seed Galion in the first round Tuesday, October 17 at 5 p.m.
The winner advances to visit top seed Van Buren Thursday, Oct. 19 at 5 p.m. Ada lost at home to VB 3-0 Oct. 4.
Riverdale (6-5-4) is the fourth seed, and will play ninth seed Cory-Rawson (0-12-1) in round one.
