Claudia Diane (Ream) Schiffke worked for Whirlpool
Claudia Diane (Ream) Schiffke passed away peacefully on September 17, 2023. Claudia was born to Claude and Marcine Ream in Bluffton, Ohio. She received her High School Diploma from Cory-Rawson High School. She was married to Thomas Ury and together they had a daughter, Tammy. Thomas passed away in 1963.
Claudia worked in many fields over the course of her life until she retired from Whirlpool in Findlay, Ohio. Claudia married the love of her life Bernard “Lynn” Schiffke and, upon retiring, they moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. She called it home for over 25 years. Claudia was kind and friendly to everyone she met. She will be truly missed by her family and her friends, as she was always just a phone call away.
Claudia is preceded in death by her parents Claude and Marcine Ream, brothers Albert & Jim Ream, first husband, Thomas Ury, her second husband Bernard “Lynn” Schiffke and grandson Declan Harrington. Claudia is survived by her siblings Thomas Ream and Jean Ream, daughter Tammy Alleman, stepchildren Steve Schiffke and Roxanne Schiffke, her grandchildren Kristy, Danielle, Jen, Nick and Megan, and great grandchildren Rhylee, Faith, Alexis, Hope, Takoda, Felix, Oliver and Wyatt.
At the request of both Lynn and Claudia, there will be no services. Claudia requested that any donations be made to Shriners Hospital https://donate.lovetotherescue.org/ Claudia has been a supporter to Shriners as their mission helps change the lives of children and she has been able to witness the benefits firsthand as her granddaughter has been a patient since birth.
