Pirate Fenzl 30th at XC regionals

Bluffton junior Levi Fenzl competed well in the Div. III Region 10 cross country meet Saturday morning, October 28, at Tiffin’s Hedges-Boyer Park.
Fenzl crossed the finish line 30th in a regional field of 178 runners with a time of 17:04.0. His time was 17.52 seconds better than his district time the previous week.
Senior Riley Nixon of Ottawa Hills won the boys individual race with a time of 15:54.2. His OH teammate Joe Mayer-Heckathorn was second in 16:07.3.
Columbus Grove won the boys team crown with 96 points. Lincolnview was second with 122 points, followed by Ottawa Hills (174).
Midwest Athletic Conference foes New Bremen (194), Minster (215) and Marion Local (244) finished 4-5-6 in the regional team standings.
