Miriam Lee worked at Community Pro Hardware

Miriam P. Lee, 91, passed away January 10, 2024 at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. Miriam was born August 13, 1932 in Bluffton to the late Marden and Minnie (Mueller) Basinger. On June 12, 1953 she married Robert Lee who preceded her in death on January 26, 2019.
Miriam graduated from Pandora High School. She worked at Community Pro Hardware in Pandora with her husband, Bob and previously had worked at Triplett Corporation in Bluffton. Miriam was an active member of St. John Bible Church (formerly St. John Mennonite Church) in Pandora where she helped with Sunday School, the migrant camp and various other activities. She was a prayer warrior that loved studying and spreading the word of God. Miriam enjoyed reading, traveling with her husband and family, watching her grandchildren's sporting events and also watching the Ohio State University basketball and football teams.
Survivors include four sons, David (Corinne) Lee of Bluffton, Darrell (Vickie) Lee of Bluffton, James (Malissa) Lee of Alger, John (Beth) Lee of Pandora; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Ann Herr of Bluffton and a sister-in-law, Ruth Anne Bixel of Bluffton.
Miriam was preceded in death by a son, Scott Lee; a brother, Alfred Basinger; an infant brother, Milburn Basinger; a sister-in-law, Joan Basinger and brother-in law, Don Herr.
Miriam's services will begin at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 13, 2024 at St. John Bible Church, Pandora. Pastor Paul Perkins officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John Bible Church Mission Fund or Youth for Christ.
