Bluffton club bowling recap for January 20
The Bluffton Gators bowled a match at Sportsmen Lanes vs. Liberty-Benton on Saturday, January 20.
Junior Varsity
Four bowlers--Laney Kiene 97, Xaiver Navarro 169, Drew Frideger 124, 118 & Elijah Nye 175, 191--shot scores over their average with two of them (Navarro 298 and Nye 376) scoring their personal best series of the season. Taking 3 of the 4 baker games, the JV had a great winning score of Gators 1,959-L-B 1,699.
Varsity
Four bowlers (Connor McCahan162, Joziah Salazar 159, Ethan Blount 207 and Matt Piehl 192, 158) shot scores over average with Piehl's 350 series being his season best. The varsity put up baker games of 181 and 198 but ended up going 2 of 4 over all, coming up short with a final score of Gators 2,285- L-B 2,448.

The Gators next match will be (Varsity only) at Delphos on January 24, followed by a home match on January 26 (JV/V) vs Lincolnview.
