Richard Warren worked for North American Philips
Richard ‘Dick’ Ray Warren went to his heavenly home on Friday, February 9, 2024 from his residence in Punta Gorda, Fl. He was born in Anderson, Indiana on September 5, 1934 to Westley and Elizabeth (Parks) Warren. Dick was the youngest of eight siblings. All have preceded him in death.
Dick’s father died when he was 6 years old. He lived and worked on his Uncle Eli’s farm until he joined the railroad laying track.He relocated to Bluffton with his
sister Thelma Miller. He finished high school in Bluffton.
Dick served in the army and had high security status. Dick and wife Jill had lived in the Bluffton and Pandora area for years. He retired from North American Philips in 1994 after 41 years. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Jill M Warren, sons Ron (Sarah), Len (Brenda), Mike (Chrissy) and Bruce (Danna), and all of his wonderful grandchildren and great-grand Children.
Dick loved his family and so enjoyed having them visit in Florida. He loved the outdoors. Hiking, fishing and boating. Spent lots of time kayaking Florida waterways and camping. He loved life to the fullest. He walked everyday at least 2 miles with his faithful dog Max. Dick was known to all as a very kind soul. He requested no visitation. He wished to be cremated and buried at Sarasota Nation Cemetery with a private family service at his gravesite.
