Hazel Marie Mowery worked for Westinghouse
Hazel Marie Mowery, 95, passed away March 4, 2024 at Taylor Place in Findlay. Hazel was born September 28, 1928 in Lima to the late Lewis and Effie Pearl (Spitzer) Rumsey. On December 7, 1946 she married Donald Mowery who preceded her in death on March 18, 2021.
Hazel graduated from Harrod High School and worked at Westinghouse Corporation in Lima before becoming a homemaker. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, word searches, watching television, mowing the lawn and shoveling the snow.
Survivors include two daughters, Carla (Daryl) Richard of Bluffton, Denise (Tim) Duff of Findlay; a grandson, Jim (Barb) Waldman and five great-grandchildren, Hannah, Jacob, Samuel, John and A.J. Waldman.
Hazel was preceded in death by a daughter, Donele Mowery; four brothers, Roy Rumsey, Dale Rumsey, Denny Rumsey, Glenn Rumsey and two sisters, Hilda Cary and Helen Rummel.
Private burial will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
