Winfred Allen Grismore worked for Tower Automotive
Winfred Allen Grismore, 87, passed away on March 15, 2024 at the Mennonite Memorial Home in Bluffton, Ohio. He was born February 13, 1937 in Bluffton to Maurice and Lenola Nusbaum Grismore. Winfred was preceded in death by his parents.
Winfred is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Elaine Fast Grismore; his four sons Gregory Grismore (Pamela) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Douglas Grismore (Gena) of Findlay, Ohio, Dwight Grismore (Letty) of Beavercreek, Ohio, Daniel Grismore (Polly) of Fort Wayne, Indiana; six grandchildren, Dr. Shannon Renfrow (Michael), Heather Neville (Dr. Thomas), Laura Robinson (Brent), Abbigail Throop (Devin), David Grismore (Evelyn), and Ruben Grismore (Bekah); seven great grandchildren, Madeline and Timothy Renfrow, Findlay and Lane Neville, and Sadie, Boone, and Mack Robinson. He is also survived by his sister, Gloria Smith.
Winfred was a Pandora-Gilboa graduate. He retired from Tower Automotive as a purchaser after 30+ years of service. Winfred enjoyed farming, continuing this in his retirement years. He was an active member of St. John Bible Church and served on multiple mission trips to various parts of the world. He enjoyed classic cars and supporting the Pandora-Gilboa athletic teams. Winfred devoted his life to the Lord, his family, and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Winfred’s service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2024 at St. John Bible Church, Pandora, Ohio with Pastor Paul Perkins and Dr. Thomas Neville officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 a.m. at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. John Bible Church Mission Fund.
