Richland Twp.-Allen Co. Engineer to discuss road plans
The Allen County Engineer will meet with township trustees and fiscal officers to determine the 2024 Township Road Program at 1501 N. Sugar Street, Lima, Ohio. The meeting for Richland Township will be on Tuesday, March 26 at 2:00 p.m.
At this initial meeting, the Allen County Engineer will meet with each township to discuss the proposed road work for that township. The Township Trustees will want to prioritize their projects and discuss the amount of funding available for their township's road program. Any revisions made to the road program at the initial meeting will be given to each township before the final road program meeting.
A final road program meeting of all Township Trustees, Fiscal Officers, County Engineer and County Commissioners will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at the County Engineer's Office.
The final road program meeting is a combined meeting of all the Township Officials, County Engineer and County Commissioners. The County Engineer will give a brief overview of the 2024 Road Program. The County Commissioners will comment on the road program and ask if there are any further revisions to be made to the Township or County Road Programs. If there are no changes, the commissioners will pass a resolution approving the road programs at their next the regular meeting. The Township Trustees will be asked to pass a resolution at their next regular meeting to approve road program and authorize the County Engineer to proceed with the work.
