Minster baseball beats Pirates

MINSTER__Minster High School defeated visiting Bluffton 4-2 in a non-league baseball game Tuesday evening, March 26.
The Pirates dropped to 0-1 with the season-opening loss. Minster improved to 2-0 with the victory.
Wildcat hurler Adam Schmitmeyer pitched a complete-game four-hitter to gain the win. He allowed two earned runs while striking out eight and walking no Pirates.
Minster’s Ian Homan cranked a two-run home run for the victors.
Bluffton (0-1) hosts Carey Friday, March 29. The scheduled opener at non-league rival Pandora-Gilboa March 23 was snowed out.
The Pirates visit local rival Allen East (0-1) in the Northwest Conference opener April 4.
