Karen Ann Hilty worked at Hilty Memorial Home
Karen Ann Hilty, 63, passed away June 19, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer and is now free of pain and is now in the arms of Jesus.
Karen was born December 19, 1960 in Bluffton to the late Herman G. and Myrtle Gay (Miller) Hilty.
Karen graduated from Pandora-Gilboa High School. She worked at the Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora for fifteen years as a nurses aide, housekeeper and in laundry. She was a member of the Pandora Missionary Church.
Karen had a love for children and the elderly. She loved to clean homes for the elderly and would baby sit for friends and family. Her love for others was contagious, her smile would light up the room and she always had a kind word to bless others with.
She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and was always excited to see her nieces and nephews and her great-nieces and great-nephews. Karen had a strong faith in Jesus and even in difficult days, she was trusting in Him. She will be greatly missed!
Survivors include her siblings, Rolland Hilty of New Paris, Ohio, Sheila (Steve) Harrigan of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Craig (Sarah) Hilty of Pandora, Elaine Basinger of Pandora, Steve (Brenda) Hilty of Pandora and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents Herman G. and Myrtle Gay Hilty and a brother-in-law, Brion Basinger.
Karen's services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Pandora Missionary Church with Pastor Matt Steiner officiating. Private burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora following the service. Visitation will be from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 29 at the church.
