Maxine Hicks was a homemaker
Maxine Hicks, age 94, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at Bridge Hospice Care Center at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.
Maxine was born on June 6, 1930 and grew up in Ada, Ohio. She is the daughter of the late Perry and Virgie (Arnett) Hicks.
Maxine was a homemaker and raised her family in Bluffton, Ohio. Her yard was filled with flowers and she enjoyed having a vegetable garden.
Maxine loved family and kept up-to-date on everyone, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Those remaining to celebrate her life include her children: Susan (Roger) Weith, Kathy (Oris) Schrag, Pamela Skowronek, Christine Seffernick; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Maxine is also survived by her siblings Marvin Hicks, Ivadean Wolber, Paul (Janet) Hicks, Ruth (Frank) Ousley, Carol Sue Brown.
Maxine was preceded in death by her husband Lester Beard and son Robert Ernsberger; her children’s father, Clyde Ernsberger; her siblings Earnesteen Patton, Aaron Hicks, Junior Hicks, and several brothers- and sisters-in-law.
Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, August 20th from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada.
