Marilyn Diller was a dietician
Marilyn June Diller, 93, passed away August 20, 2024 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. Marilyn was born June 21, 1931 in Elida to the late Cecil and Fenella (Habegger) Flick. On February 24, 1951, she married Cleo Diller who preceded her in death on January 3, 1984.
Marilyn graduated from Mt. Cory High School, class of 1949 and attended Northwestern School of Commerce and Lima Technical College. She was a dietician at the Hilty Memorial Home and Richland Manor Nursing Home. Marilyn was a life member of First Mennonite Church, Bluffton and was also a member of the Allen County Farm Bureau. She was a former Girl Scout leader and enjoyed needlework, gardening and traveling.
Survivors include three children, Debra (Mike) Byers of Ligonier, Indiana, Larry (Judy) Diller of Bluffton, Vickie (Kim) Stechschulte of Versailles, Kentucky; nine grandchildren, Kerrie (Jeb) Castelo, Stacey (Troy) Garrett, Curtis (Sandy) Diller, Jason (Abby) Diller, Matthew Diller, Katrina (Lorenzo) Flores, Kirk (Sarah) Stechschulte, Chad (Leah) Stechschulte, Laura (Peter Bilan) Cochran and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
Marilyn was preceded in death by a daughter, Julia Marie Diller and a brother, Robert Flick.
Marilyn's services will begin at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 24, 2024 at First Mennonite Church, Bluffton. Pastor Carrie Mast officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Mennonite Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be Friday, August 23, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services - Bluffton.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Mennonite Church.
