Pirate golfers 2nd in NWC quad

The Bluffton High School golf team competed well in a Northwest Conference quadrangular match at the Delphos Country Club on Tuesday, September 3, winning twice.
Lincolnview finished first and narrowly won the match over the Pirates, 183-185. Bluffton easily beat Allen East 185-200, and dominated winless Delphos Jefferson 185-232.
The Pirates improved their record to 8-2 overall and 5-1 in the NWC after the meet. Allen East is 3-4 in the league and overall, while Delphos fell to 0-9 overall and 0-8 in NWC action after the losses.
The Lancers are near the top of the league standings, just behind the first-place Pirates at 4-1. Lincolnview is 8-3 overall.
Bluffton visits Spencerville with Allen East in a league tri-meet at the Oaks Golf Club in Lima on Monday, September 9.
