3rd annual Vine Street Block party is September 28
Vine St. Block Party will begin at 3:00 p.m. and continue until midnight
A September 28 Block Party on Vine Street will feature live music, dancing in the street to DJs and even a kids' dance hour. This event is free and open to the public.
This is the third annual Block Party organized by Greenhorn restaurant and will again showcase legendary DJ Stacey Hotwaxx Hale. Hale is considered by many to be the "godmother of house" music. Greenhorn believes that house music–electronic dance music with a strong rhythmic base–is family-friendly, all-inclusive dance music.
3:00-4:00 p.m.
The event kicks off with a kids' dance party from 3-4 p.m., then standing yoga and tai chi demonstrations by Jacomet's Martial Arts to help soothe your mind and stretch your muscles.
5:00 p.m.
Singer/pianist Joel Starkey will perform live on the street. Starkey is an excellent musician who just happens to be blind.
7:00-9:00 p.m.
DJ Darin Martin kicks off the dancing from 7-9 p.m.
9:00 p.m.
"Godmother of House" Stacey Hale comes on at 9 p.m. and keeps the beat going until midnight.
Greenhorn will be open for food and music throughout the evening.
Contact Greenhorn for further information at 567-226-4568.
