Dorothy P. Moser operated Moser Electric
Dorothy P. Moser, 99, of Pandora, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2024 at Maple Crest Senior Living, Bluffton.
She was born on February 19, 1923 in Pandora to the late Philemon and Elizabeth (Basinger) Huser. Her husband, James Moser died on October 25, 2010. They were married on her parent’s 42nd wedding anniversary, on June 29, 1947 in a triple wedding ceremony, with her sisters, Mary Jane (Frances) Greutman and Joan (Don) Etter.
During World War II, Dorothy worked at Triplett Corporation, Bluffton. Later, she and her husband operated Moser Electric in Pandora.
Dorothy was a member of Grace Mennonite Church, Pandora. She knotted blankets for the Mary Martha Society and served as a church social assistant for fourteen years and a funeral aid for eighteen years. Dorothy loved to work puzzles, crochet and bake cookies, which she always shared with others. She frequently played cards and dominoes with her dear friends.
Dorothy will be greatly missed by her family. She was a loving, warm and kind mother, sister and aunt, with a keen sense of humor. Dorothy dearly adored cats, especially her cat, Susie.
Survivors include a son, Tom (Linda) Moser of Ottawa and numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by two brothers, George Huser, Sherwood “Jake” Huser; five sisters, Jeanette Baumgartner, Phyllis Gaylord, Mary Jane Greutman, Joan Etter, Betty Jean Cherry; a sister-in-law, Rachael Huser and five brothers-in-laws, Homer Baumgartner, Joe Gaylord, Don Cherry, Don Etter and Francis Greutman.
Dorothy’s services will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Grace Mennonite Church, Pandora with Pastor Matthew Yoder officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
